Save the date! The next Grahamwood Neighborhood Association Meeting is on Saturday, June 19, at 4:00 pm. We have a special guest speaker from the Shelby County Health Department Vector Control scheduled to come and speak to us about rodent control and the mosquito population. Please mark your calendars and join us for what looks to be a very interesting meeting. Light refreshments will be served. |

Great News for all GNA Members !!! As much as we have all been so thankful to Pastor Graham for the use of the Family Tabernacle Fellowship Hall, the Samelson Boys and Girls Club has agreed (with open arms) to allow us the use of the newly renovated Club facility for any and all meetings/ functions. Now, the catch is this…the Club is closed on Mondays. I made the executive, yet maybe temporary, decision to move our meeting date/time to Saturdays at 4:00 pm starting October 3rd (we will send out and call with reminders as usual). My hope is that this will accommodate those of us with extremely hectic weekday schedules and therefore create more attendance and overall participation. The Club director, Tonya Bradley and I are also encouraged by the new arrangement because it will strengthen the bond between the Boys and Girls Club and the GNA in so many ways. One perk of moving the meetings to the new Club is that Tonya will be able to personally attend and keep us up-to-date with all the Club’s current events. It is really a hoppin’ place and they always seem to have new and exciting projects in the works. Let me know what you think about this Big Step for the GNA…I’d love to hear your feedback. I will also be posting the minutes from the Wednesday Boys and Girls Club Board Meeting soon on the GNA website !!! Thanks !!! |
